"Adriaan Rees is always looking for collaboration and cross-connections. Between different media, between artists, countries and crafts - in concept, project or implementation. However, ceramics and sculpture remain the core of his work. In 38CC Adriaan Rees shows both autonomously. work as work that he has made especially for 38CC in collaboration with other artists. For example, there is an installation of his ceramics and plaster landscapes in combination with painted panels, glass paintings and embroidery by Gijs and Titia Frieling. For another installation Rees has master painter of the Porceleyne Fles, Wendy Steenks, asked to make a wall painting after his design in Delft Blue style. In addition, work by the Chinese artist Jackson Li is on display. The theme 'Street life' is reflected in a graffiti piece by Sam Rees. Finally, photos by Adriaan Rees and Ronald van Wieren can be seen in combination with work by Rees, in which mysticism and religion are play a big role. "
