Under the title LATITUDES, the Tilburg artist Hans Vijgen makes an installation in 38CC based on the Latitude 51 project he has been working on for years. The starting point for this project is latitude N 51 ° 34.190 ', which is exactly over the work table in the middle of his studio Figs makes a (virtual) journey along this line, starting at the prime meridian of Greenwich with a shift of 1 degree in an easterly direction. The project can be seen as a 'travelogue' consisting of an increasing series of satellite images, drawings , photos, video and models. It is an exploration of the world and also a subjective location determination, in which topicality and coincidence play a major role. The coordinate lines that appear in all parts of the project determine the image of the installation in 38CC's space . "
