Bobbi's Summer School

Dream away this summer in 38CC and let yourself be carried away by the personal stories of six young artists. Their diverse works take you into a world full of daydreams, myths and memories built from surprising materials. Delft artist Bobbi Cleij organised the second edition of the 38CC Summer School. The participating artists were selected by her from responses to an Open Call for recently graduated talent. With their work, they blur the boundaries between reality and fantasy, dream and reality. From illustrations to installations, textile works and sculptures, each work of art invites you to dig deeper and discover hidden meanings. "Discover the connections between man and nature in the installations of Noa Zuidervaart, full of mythological and historical symbols. Let your thoughts wander through the cyanotypes of Bobbi Cleij. Relax in Ariane Toussaint's life-size textile 'bed books' and immerse yourself in the detailed drawings in pen, pencil and textile by Marit Biemans. Marvel at the beauty of the yellow foam rubber from the inside of old benches, from which Juliette Hengst builds her wall reliefs, and feel like a child again through Joeri Ista's colorful drawings and ceramic toys blown up to large size. During the exhibition period, free workshops for children were organized in 38CC by the six artists. There was also a new edition of the Open Mic evening Grootspraak on July 19.
