"Music and art, that's what it's all about this summer in 38CC. A stage will be offered to an international line-up, consisting of Joris van de Moortel (B), Kim van Norren (NL) and Karl Philips (B). With seductively colorful paintings, video installations and works of art that produce sound themselves, the three artists approach music and music culture in their own way. References are made to pop songs and art history, to the underground and mainstream and there is criticism of contemporary festivization. Alternately fresh, poetic and also critically, the artworks are full of ideals, longing and memories. References to the eternal transformation of life and death are not far away either. This is how Stage is created: a thrilling group exhibition full of contrasts and special combinations ".
